dsc_0169Sometimes I hear PWs say, “Well, God might have called my husband to be a pastor, but I sure don’t feel called to be a pastor’s wife.”

Did you ever think about our all-knowing God and how He knew you would someday be a pastor’s wife BEFORE you were born?

His plan was in place even at the moment the doctor announced, “It’s a girl!”.

He isn’t surprised by the way your life has turned out.

That’s kind of cool, isn’t it?

Back when you were that little kid throwing the ball in the church nursery, or the little girl whispering to her friend while your Sunday school teacher was teaching or that high school kid who had a crush on the boy who sat in front of her in youth group – all those years that have come before, the Lord knew that someday YOU would be the wife of the pastor.

Wow!  What a great thought.

Ephesians 2:10 – For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

  1. This is a comfort to me. My mom has always told me that each stage of my life was “school” for the next. God was (and is) giving me opportunities and experiences (and lessons!) to give me whatever I need to complete a future assignment from Him. Little did I know that He had the life of a pastor’s wife in mind!
